I ordered a Teak Garden Bench 3 Seat Great Maytham as a birthday present for my wife. The ordering process was very smooth and I was able to complete it without difficulty.

As the delivery date was some way off from the order date, I contacted the office and a very helpful lady was able to confirm that the bench was proceeding as expected with it leaving Wealden on the Tuesday and arriving with me on the Thursday, which was the date I had requested.

On the Thursday morning a large truck appeared and the driver unloaded the bench / cushion / cover and cleaner on a pallet and moved it to the side of the property. It was very securely packaged and with the engraving which I had requested it looks fantastic.

My wife was delighted with her gift, which is what it is all about.

The dense central core of the log is rich in protective natural oils and silica providing an authentic lifespan of over 25 years without any artificial intervention. As it weathers the British elements over the seasons this premium timber naturally develops a beautiful silvery grey patina ensuring your private garden seating remains structurally sound and elegant for decades of outdoor enjoyment.

Structural Risks of Inferior Garden Furniture

While many online retailers offer cheaper mass produced teak furniture, this lower price point is almost always achieved by utilising "sapwood" which is the soft porous outer layer of the tree trunk. This inferior timber completely lacks the natural density and self protecting oils required to survive outdoors. In these lower grade products, the pale sapwood is frequently chemically stained and dyed to mimic the rich golden hue of premium heartwood.
