The coronation ceremony is an occasion for pageantry and celebration, but it is also a solemn religious ceremony and has remained essentially the same over a thousand years. For the last 900 years, the ceremony has taken place at Westminster Abbey, London. The service is conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, whose task this has almost always been since the Norman Conquest in 1066.
The coronation of the new Sovereign follows some months after his or her accession, following a period of mourning and because of the enormous amount of preparation required to organise the ceremony. Present at the Coronation of King Charles III will be representatives of the Houses of Parliament, Church and State. Prime ministers and leading citizens from the Commonwealth and representatives of other countries.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - To achieve 25 years + of use, all Coronation Celebration Garden Benches should be Polyurethane (expanding foam) glued, Teak dowelled then clamped for 24hrs to ensure that there is no movement in the construction. Although this is an expensive and time consuming process, it is what we do with everyone of our Benches before we deliver. Be aware of buying flat packed Wedding Gift Idea Garden Benches or those made with cheap glues as wood naturally expands and contracts when left outside so if they are not joined securely they will, after a few seasons, wobble and fail.
